Planning and throwing events is one of my favorite things to do. Knowing I had a Christmas Party to plan when I got back to D.C. was the only thing that got me on that plane from Mexico back to the States. Although we didn’t have as much time to prepare as I wanted because my car decided it was still on vacation and wouldn’t start, and I didn’t have access to all my usual tools (from cooking to decorating), we got a ton done, and everyone seemed to have a great time! Below are some of the recipes we used for our Holiday Extravaganza:
Holiday Sangria
Crockpot Spinach Artichoke Dip
Crockpot Hot Chocolate
DIY Hot Chocolate Station
*We had Bailey’s, Kahlua and Peppermint Schnapps (and candy canes and marshmallows, OF COURSE!).
DIY (Decorate-It-Yourself) Cookie Station
*We used store-bought dough (to save some time), and had different colors of frosting, sprinkles and candy canes.
Baked Brie
Ingredients:
1 Round of Brie
Apple Butter
Crackers or baguette for serving
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400° F.
Cut the round of brie in half.
Spread some apple butter in the middle (as much as you like!).
Put the top back of the brie back on, and spread some more apple butter on the top.
Stick that bad boy in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
Take it out, and enjoy!
Store-Bought Items:
Mini Quiche
Pizza Rolls
Chick-Fil-A Chicken Nuggets
Cheese and Fruit Tray
Sausage Balls (made by Ashley’s mom)
Cheers, darlings!
